The Datong Xi'an Railway Passenger Dedicated Line (Daxi High speed Railway) is an important part of the national medium - and long-term railway planning network. It starts from Datong, Shanxi Province in the north, passes through 9 cities and 31 counties (districts) including Shuozhou, Xinzhou, Taiyuan, Jinzhong, Linfen, Yuncheng, Weinan, etc., and ends in Xi'an, Shaanxi Province, with a total length of 859 kilometers and a designed speed of 250 kilometers per hour, of which 350 kilometers per hour is reserved for the original Pingxi Xi'an northern section.
