Welcome to read, this is a narrative article about TMD shock absorption tuning mass dampers, edited by Hebei Luze Technology - focusing on steel structure bearings,Viscous damperDesign and production.
Tuned mass dampers (TMDs) belong to this categoryPower vibration absorptionOne of the passively tuned vibration damping control devices in the medium, which is used as aPassive control systemIt can mitigate the dynamic response of structures to environmental disturbances.
The purpose of the TMD shock absorption tuning mass damper is to reduce the energy dissipation requirements of the basic structural components of F under the action of external force. In this case, this reduction is done by transferring some of the energy of the structural vibration to the TMD, which consists of a system of auxiliary masses - springs-dampens that are fixed or attached to the main structure in a simple form.
The magnitude of the TMD damper effect depends on the case where the TMD response lags 90° behind the structural response. Results The elastic force transmitted by TMD is converted into a viscous force acting on the structure. TMD is used to absorb vibrations, usually only if the excitation vibration contains a main frequency component or a very narrow frequency band. However, for multi-degree-of-freedom stochastic excitation systems, the purpose of achieving vibration reduction through TMD is complex and difficult.
Traditional tuning mass dampers usually adopt discrete design, in a certainnatural frequencyor TMDs designed in a narrow frequency range have good damping effects. However, when the excitation range is wider, the damping effect of TMD is significantly reduced. The key to controlling the vibration response of the TMD system is to adjust the natural frequency of the TMD system to the natural frequency of the controlled structure. Over time, some of the properties of the structure will change, which will reduce the control of the TMD system over the structure.
The spring and damping characteristics of TMDs do not change over time, which limits the adaptability of TMDs to various frequencies and forms of external excitation. TMD dysregulation or TMD's own damping fluctuations can weaken its damping effect, TMDRobustnessworse. All of these have led to the research and application of active and semi-active tuning mass dampers.
