This specially formulated, full aliphatic water-based polyurethane is a two-component (A+B) topcoat designed to provide exceptional and long-lasting protection for concrete structures, with a dedicated focus on bridge applications. It delivers the high performance of solvent-based coatings while being safe, non-flammable, and containing zero VOCs, making it suitable for large-scale and environmentally sensitive projects.

  • Exceptional Durability & Abrasion Resistance: Withstands heavy traffic and mechanical wear, evidenced by an abrasion resistance of < 30 mg loss (ASTM D3884) and scrub resistance (sand) > 12,000 cycles (ASTM D2486).

  • Superior Weathering Resistance: The full aliphatic formula provides excellent UV resistance, preventing chalking and yellowing. After 2000 hrs of QUV-B testing, it shows no chalking, >70% gloss retention, and a color change dE < 5.0.

  • High Chemical & Stain Resistance: Offers robust resistance to alkalis, acids, and common staining agents like oil, grease, and de-icing salts, ensuring structural aesthetics and integrity are maintained.

  • Low Water Absorption & Excellent Protection: Features very low water absorption (<0.5% @24hrs, ASTM C1585), effectively shielding bridge concrete from water ingress, freeze-thaw cycles, and corrosion.

Application Procedure

Surface Preparation: The concrete surface must be completely clean, sound, and free of dust, oil, and laitance.

Mixing: Use a low-speed mixer (approx. 300 rpm). Add component B to component A and mix thoroughly for at least 3 minutes to ensure a homogeneous blend.

Application: Apply using a roller. The material dries relatively quickly; avoid excessive rolling after the initial application to prevent roll marks and surface defects.

Recoating: If a second coat is required, ensure the first coat is completely dry before application.

Cleaning: Clean all tools and equipment with water immediately after use.
