On November 13, 2022, China's first cross sea high-speed railway, the newly built Fuzhou Xiamen Railway Meizhou Bay Cross Sea Bridge, was successfully completed.
The Meizhou Bay Cross Sea Bridge is 14.7 kilometers long, with a construction length of 10.8 kilometers in the sea area. The main bridge is a prestressed concrete continuous rigid frame low tower cable-stayed bridge with a main span of 180 meters, crossing a planned 3000 ton waterway in Meizhou Bay. It is equipped with two double column main towers in the north and south, with a tower height of 30 meters above the bridge deck and a total of 28 cable-stayed cables. The construction accuracy is high and the technical difficulty is high. It is the first cross sea high-speed railway low tower cable-stayed bridge in China.
